This is a project that was recorded in my bedroom with my 2 year-old son on my lap the entire time. Two months after J-Dilla passed away. A variety and great number of artist came by and contributed their creative form of appreciation for Dilla. Guest include: Raheem Devaughn, Kev Brown, Dj Roddy Rod, Awthentik, Priest Da Nomad, Hazel Black, Jabari Exum, Stacey Epps and Bilal Salaam.
It has been 6 years since James Yancey left us. With the recent passing of Don Cornelius, Etta James, David Peaston and Whitney Houston i felt moved to finally share these tunes from the vault. Hope you enjoy it or at least understand the deep rooted place of love that this project comes from. Peace
